Linguistic anthropologist → UX researcher.
Hi, I’m Dejan Duric, a PhD candidate in Anthropology at the University of Michigan. I study how people actually use technology in everyday life, specifically how smartphones shape face-to-face conversation. My research combines ethnographic fieldwork, conversation analysis, and screen recording methods to understand digital behavior in the wild, not just in lab settings.
I’m transitioning into UX research and research science roles in tech, where I can apply my expertise in human behavior, qualitative methods, and how digital tools shape real-world interaction.
