Dejan Duric

Hi, I’m Dejan Duric, a PhD candidate in American Culture and Anthropology at the University of Michigan. My research explores how American cultural influences shape Eastern European youth identities, behaviors, and language practices, with a focus on Digitally Augmented Face-to-face Interaction (DAFI) involving digital devices like smartphones. As an educator, I’ve taught diverse courses and fostered critical thinking. Beyond academia, I engage in community work in Bosnia and Herzegovina, promoting youth expression, inclusivity, and social change, aiming to contribute to talent retention and community revitalization.
